Surrey Here We Come

That's right, in just over a week Shu and I will hit the strip with Ange and hopefully Ahmee. I'm taking a day off work and everything! Can't wait to celebrate their birthdays with them even though they are old. But they are hot so it makes up for it.

Oh, and Ikea. Dropping a lot of cash there. Hopefully in exchange for something. I don't want to just drop cash. That would be bad. Unless it was just a penny, 'cause that's still cash. So I'm sounding like Ange now, which is great, 'cause she is super sexy.

Nano Nano

High tech dot org part two

So my weekend was very low key, which is okay. What made it all better was the fact that I just ordered myself a fancy new mac laptop, nano and all the wireless gadgets. It should be here in a week. Then I can throw this frick'n PC out the window. And I can blog from anywhere. Maybe that will be my next assignment! Oh, and I ordered not one but two cases for it, why you say? Or if you did say why you have no idea about who I am. 'Cause my friends wouldn't question multiple bag purchases. Stand by for the sounds of me splooshing when my new 'puter arrives...

MBA Textbooks (or any textbooks) hip-hop audio books

This was inspired by Julie (but she wont get any of the royalties). So it's pretty straight forward. We rap textbooks to hip-hop beats yo. I'm so dope... and by dope I mean 28, middle class and white.

Metric

Okay so the first time a saw Metric we were at a super crappy venue, I couldn't see a thing. So Shu and I went to see them at Open Air in Centennial Square (I love that venue, we saw Fiest there). This was SO much better, I love them! Shu almost got puked on by some 15 year old idiots who, half way through the show, I had to elbow and tell to fuck off. It's all good. And Rogers Wireless had a booth there, who buys a cell phone at a concert? Anyway, we went to the Mint after. I got to go home with Shu, a perfect night.

Bye-bye beach v-ball

Oh yes, my first summer of beach volleyball has just ended tonight. It was so much fun, I still suck at it, but it was fun. Sand in so many wrong places. We started in June playing at the Sticky Wicket downtown (rooftop courts) then we got kicked out of that and went to Juan de Fuca Rec centre to play in their fantastic (and cheap) courts. We had a good core team and most of us are going to the Y to play, right by my house. More good times.

Steamed milk, so good

So few things in life give me joy BUT I have a new something special in my life. My milk frother. Steamed milk with peppermint tea and vanilla. so good. Another good thing, the totally hammered guy yelling outside my window. Good times. Neat Neat Fun. Oh and one more good thing... Snakes on a Plane.

Wallflower no more!

Okay so I was thinking that my housewarming was a bust but it was great, everyone turned up after my last post. Lots of drinks and good times. We went to The Mint after (my neighbour came over and complained about the noise, whatev). So looking forward to having Shu over tomorow night, it's turning out to be a great weekend.

Okay, so I'm in those strange moments of my house warming party where no one is here yet. So I'm kinda hanging around. Feeling like the last girl picked to dance. All dressed up and no where to go. I met one of my neighbours today, he just brought me over a glass of wine, hopefully he will show up later. Can't help feeling like a loser. A hot loser at that. If all else fails I'm drinking myself silly and eating junk food.
